(1)Planning publicity strategies and campaigns.
(2)writing and producing presentations and press releases.
(3)Dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations.
(4)organising promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits.
(5)Speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations.
(6)Providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress.
(7)Analysing media coverage.
(8)Commissioning or undertaking relevant market research.
(9)Liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives.
(10)Designing, writing and/or producing presentations, press releases, articles, leaflets, 'in-house' journals, reports, publicity brochures, information for web sites and promotional videos.

Qualifications and training required:
A minimum of HND/ND in any field is acceptable, although English, management, business or media studies, marketing or behavioural sciences are preferred. A PR postgraduate qualification can be helpful, as can work experience gained within the PR, marketing, fund-raising, events promotion, or journalism trades.
